Alice Bardenboar: how did you find this shop?
Sunshine: hmm let me think… it was such long ago. I think I knew the creator before I came.
Alice Bardenboar: so it’s an old, well established shop?
Sunshine: yes it’s been around for long. Trill has held fashion shows, she is also an SL artist. She has great installations and all the money from this shop goes to support an organization for women in Afghanistan
Alice Bardenboar: ohh I did not know it.
Alice Bardenboar: do you have the slurl of her installations?
Sunshine: hmm not sure if she has anything on right now. Let me see
Sunshine: if you check her profile there is something called Fuse, An Exhibition of Lamps http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Trillia/55/73/641
Sunshine: even her shops are very beautifully built
Sunshine: her other shop is called Meena and it’s more in an eastern setting
Alice Bardenboar: ohh we can go later to have a look?
Sunshine: of course we can 😉 . I love Asian fabrics and styles – very colorful things
Sunshine: in this shop she has a more western look, many types of funky looking jeans and western dresses, skirts and things
Alice Bardenboar: do you buy often here? And what is the average price?
Sunshine: hmm I bought almost everything here at one point lol. The top I am wearing is 45L and the matching skirt is about that price too
Alice Bardenboar: so you get an outfit for less than 100 lindens. that’s a good price
Sunshine: yes very good
Alice Bardenboar: do you think they somehow mirror your way of being? Do they express something of you?
Sunshine: hmm as you know I love to explore the cultures of the world and I live in Africa – I love colorful clothes
Alice Bardenboar: do you wear colourful clothes in RL too?
Sunshine: yes I do whenever I can
Sunshine: I know Trill well and often she gives me gifts – she is very kind
Alice Bardenboar: ohh you know the owner? nice!
Sunshine: yes I know her well, we do shows together. She created the stage for one of our shows
Alice Bardenboar: the dancing shows?
Sunshine: yes – with the Imaginals. She is very versatile
Alice Bardenboar: ohh i think i saw it, was very nice
Sunshine: yes it was great – though so much lag 😉
Alice Bardenboar: ohh yes lag is normal when there is a large gathering
Sunshine: yes I am used to it with the dancing
Alice Bardenboar: this place reminds me a bit of the present look of the commune lol
Sunshine: hehe yes, very true
don’t forget to get your gift before leaving 🙂
Alice Bardenboar: shall we go and see the other shop?
Sunshine: ok I tp you 😉
Alice Bardenboar: perfect
Sunshine: this is the main landing area
Sunshine: you can see tps to both her shops – BohoHobo and Meena, to the Afghanistan museum, to her build called “the Apocalypse will not be televised”
Alice Bardenboar: does she live in afganistan?
Sunshine: she is in Canada
Sunshine: but she travels a lot
Sunshine: I am not sure about her connection with Afghanistan
Sunshine: ok lets go to Meena
Alice Bardenboar: yep 🙂
Sunshine: beautiful designs
Sunshine: lots of detail in the fabrics
Alice Bardenboar: yep, and I see that in each shop she gives away some little presents. It’s nice from her part
Sunshine: ahh and look camels! hehe
Alice Bardenboar: do you have in your inventory anything from this shop?
Sunshine: yes, one sec
Alice Bardenboar: the prices here are more or less the same of the other shop? I’m asking because some of the outfit here are really elaborate…
Sunshine: yes same type of prices, a skirt here is 100. So things are usually around a hundred – jeans or skirts
Alice Bardenboar: yes, makes sense
Alice Bardenboar: they are really original and the texture are incredible
Sunshine: yes very unique and special, It’s a must see
Sunshine: but those coats are probably more
Alice Bardenboar: do you know if she sells furniture too? Some of the carpets are very nice
Sunshine: just click on the things – yes you can buy some of them and you can just IM her. She would help you I am sure
Alice Bardenboar: another question, I see now that she has jewels as well, do you know if they are copies of RL ones, I mean, do they somehow follow a tradition or are they just inspired by it?
Sunshine: oh good question hmm not sure. Best is to ask her – she is a great person to meet and knows lots about these parts of the world. You can tell from her builds – she puts a lot of effort into preparing and making things authentic
Alice Bardenboar: yes, I suspect that the clothes as well are “original”. I mean, something you can buy in those countries
Sunshine: yes I am sure you would find similar things in Afghanistan 😉
Thanks Sunshine for sharing with us those two nice shops
